The anodic oxide film consists of two layers, a porous, thick outer layer growing above a dense, dielectric inner layer called a barrier (also known as an active layer).When observed by electron microscopy, almost all of the horizontal and vertical surfaces of the film appear tubular holes perpendicular to the metal surface, which penetrate the outer layer of the film to the barrier layer between the oxide film and the metal interface.The barrier layer is composed of anhydrous aluminum oxide, thin and dense, with high hardness and blocking the flow of electricity.The thickness of the barrier layer was 0.03-0.05 m, 0.5%-2.0% of the total membrane.
